From 21 to 24 September 2011 in Nikolayev, at the invitation of the Development Fund of the city of Nikolayev (FDN), the Russian delegation arrived Partnership community foundations (PCF). Recall that three months ago, the most active leaders of the Bank of youth initiatives FDN were trained in the most successful fund of Russian Federation. Both activities were carried out with financial support from the Global Fund’s community foundations (GFCF, Johannesburg, South Africa).

The programme of the visit was very rich. Only two days the leaders of Russian charity fund «BF Togliatti» and «Civil union», Boris Tsirulnikov and Oleg Sharipkov held six meetings with deputies of the city council, the leadership of the executive committee and businessmen of the city. Assistant Partnership PSF Jan Tsirulnikova met with the most active youth Nikolayev during a meeting, organized by Youth an asset of the bank. |
The results of such exchanges can not be overestimated. Large businesses have learned to Nikolaev a lot about philanthropy and charity. Some of them even wanted to create their registered funds. Representatives of the medium-sized businesses, which also communicated a lot of our foreign guests, too, are interested in charitable programs of the Foundation. But the most productive have been negotiating with local government representatives and deputies: the authorities to guarantee their full support to civic initiatives of citizens.
The Russians were not indifferent to the increased activity of Nicholas youth. Adopting the experience of their Russian colleagues, leaders of the Youth Bank FDN working hard implementing new to our region of charitable programs, such as «Fanny-carousel», «Birthday Party Company», «Technologies for good» and many others. During a meeting with the youth of the city paid much attention to technical matters of public organizations as the basis of civil society. Nikolaev students are keenly interested in the practice of fundraising, legal and organizational aspects of charitable funds. A very experienced, leaders of Russian fundraising Boris Tsirulnikov and Oleg Sharipkov willingly shared their achievements and best practices.
Despite the super-dense schedule of the visit, and found time for cultural programs: our colleagues from Russia visited the zoo and Nicholas took part in informal dialogue with members of the Development Fund of the city of Nikolayev and journalists.
As a result, we can safely say that despite the many differences between our two countries, representatives from all three sectors of civil society both in Ukraine and Russia have much in common and are ready for the continued and long-term cooperation.
