(FDN) holds just two events:
— Summing up the previous two contests of social projects: «Your initiative — 2011» supported by the city council deputy, A.V. Chernomorchenko and «Civil Initiative for Local Development» supported by the International Fund «Renaissance».
— Announcing a new contest, «The development of self-organization of local civic groups of the South of Ukraine — 2011».
Participants will become familiar with the activities of reports and presentations that are prepared two winners of the contest: «Civil Initiative for Local Development» and «Your initiative — 2011.» The first one carried out by International Fund «Renaissance», and the financial support of the second had our local philanthropists: Mayor Vladimir Chaika and deputy city council Alla Chernomorchenko.
Grantees will talk about the results of their projects. Perhaps they were not too ambitious, but, nevertheless, useful to society. Another result — to hryvnia each grant (non-repayable financial aid), the project participants were able to attract 2.5 to 4 hryvnia local resources. So, thanks to FRGN «Bank of youth initiatives,» inhabitants of the neighborhood action groups «North» and «Levanevtsev» held landscaping and landscaping houses № № 10-a, 10 b, 10 g and 14 on the street and street Architect Starova. Levanevtsev, 25. Non-Governmental Organization «Scouts of Nikolaev» held a forum on development of children’s organizations of school government, civil society organizations «Prison Initiative» MAMA-86 and arranged the children’s playgrounds in South Street, 30, and near the kindergarten № 74, Nikolaev students have prepared and published a special issue of the newspaper «Shpora «dedicated to 66th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War.
By the way, as shown, in public organizations is not the most important thing to work day or to build a playground, and organize people who might not always agree among themselves. For instance, won the second contest, «Civil Initiative for Local Development,» not only revolutionized the playground on the street. Levanevtsev 25/29 25/30 and released a handbook and for electricity consumers, but also successfully implemented the 5 shares of representation of the rights and interests of citizens, which resulted in local authorities have taken appropriate regulations.

As you can see, successful fundraising has allowed donors to support the campaign of civil action, an ideology which — do not expect a «miracle» of the authorities, and to solve problems at the local level on their own.
On this new competition will be sent to «The development of self-organization of local civic groups of the South of Ukraine — 2011», which is part of the project «Development of self-organization of the population of the South of Ukraine for Housing and Utilities Reform» funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (Washington, DC, USA) and Foundation S. Batory (Warsaw, Poland).
